The State Council General Office recently issued the Opinions on Speeding up the Structural Reform on the Agricultural Supply Side and Vigorously Developing the Economy of the Food Industry (hereinafter referred to as "Opinions"), making strategic arrangements for vigorously developing the economy of the grain industry. Improve food processing and distribution capacity and industry chain control

Vigorously develop new nutrition and health foods such as whole grains
At this stage, the comprehensive grain production capacity in our country is stable at a high level with ample grain inventories. The major contradictions in agriculture have shifted from insufficient gross quantities to structural contradictions. With the upgrading of residents' consumption structure, we must accurately grasp the trend of consumer demand and focus on increasing the supply of green, nutritious and healthy food and food products.
"Opinions" targeted the following measures: Vigorously implement the "China Good Grain and Oil" action, by variety, quality, brand, and promote the construction of green high-quality food industry system. The Company will optimize its product mix and develop green and healthy new products of grain and oil, increase the supply of diversified, customized and personalized products, and promote the nutrition upgrade and expansion of high-quality food products. Zhang-Feng Zhang said that at present, some of China's corn and other grain varieties are stocked at high levels, and grain inventories need to be digested through the economic development of the grain industry. Efforts should be made to increase the supply of functional starch sugars and the effective supply of corn processed products for health care, chemical industry and medicine to reduce the import dependence on related products. The development of non-grain fuel such as cellulose, ethanol, to ensure food supply and quality and safety under the premise of efforts to deal with mildew, excessive heavy metals, overstocked storage of food, the appropriate development of grain fuel ethanol.
